PremierBank Announces Wisconsin Bankers Foundation Financial Literacy Awards

Several Bankers Recognized for their Commitment to Financial Literacy

Wisconsin Bankers Foundation

Fort Atkinson, WI – The Wisconsin Bankers Foundation, a non-profit organization that prioritizes financial education efforts in the state of Wisconsin, recently recognized a group of PremierBank employees for their financial literacy work in their communities. These community bankers carried out a commitment to improving financial literacy by volunteering their time and talents to teach others valuable financial education skills. Teaching children and older adults in a variety of settings; lessons varied from basic money-saving tips to how to spot and avoid financial scams. Bankers receiving Excellence in Financial Education Certificates from the Foundation include Brian Armstrong, Chris Martin, Denise Lange, Krystal Walsh, Marisa Longoria, Matt Lee, Olivia Peterson, Rochelle Mitchell, Sherry McKee, Silvia Donday-Selenske, Tom Merfeld, and Tracy Wendorf.

“Teaching both young and older consumers, our bankers love being out in the communities we serve to bring financial education to those who need it the most. Through their volunteer efforts, our bankers are making a difference in helping to improve financial literacy in our communities,” said Kathy Rolfs, PremierBank’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

Each year, the Wisconsin Bankers Foundation recognizes banks across the state of Wisconsin for their financial literacy efforts. According to the WBF, during the most recent fiscal year, Wisconsin bankers conducted over 270 financial education presentations, reaching 6,000 community members. This is an outstanding accomplishment given the many challenges caused by the global pandemic in terms of being able to conduct classes in person.
