July 1, 2026—PremierBank has announced the execution of its long-term executive succession plan with the promotion of Peggy Stebbins, CPA, to President effective July 1, 2026. As part of the transition, Russ Turk will continue serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, providing strategic leadership while Stebbins assumes responsibility for the Bank’s day-to-day operations and execution of its long-term strategic plan.
The leadership transition comes during a period of exceptional momentum for PremierBank. The Bank has achieved historic financial performance during the first half of 2026 while continuing to execute its strategic plan through investments in technology, leadership development, and operational excellence designed to position the Bank for sustainable long-term growth.
As President, Stebbins will oversee the Bank’s daily operations, lead the executive leadership team, drive execution of the Bank’s strategic priorities, and maintain the standards of service that PremierBank provides to its customers and communities. She will also continue to focus on developing employees, strengthening customer relationships, and preserving the strong culture that has defined PremierBank throughout its 163-year history. Stebbins is the first woman to serve as President in the Bank’s history, marking an important milestone for the organization while reflecting its ongoing commitment to leadership development and advancement.
“Throughout Peggy’s career and during her years with PremierBank, she has consistently demonstrated the values, dedication, and leadership essential to successful community banking. Her experience, strategic perspective, and commitment to our mission position her exceptionally well to help lead our organization into the future,” said Turk.
Since joining PremierBank in March 2023, Stebbins has led enterprise-wide initiatives in strategic planning, core technology upgrades, and operational transformation. Prior to joining PremierBank, she held leadership roles at both privately held and publicly traded financial institutions and brings nearly two decades of experience in accounting, finance, operations, and strategic leadership.
“PremierBank has an incredible history, an exceptional team, and a culture that is deeply committed to serving our customers and communities,” said Stebbins. “I’m honored by the confidence the Board has placed in me and excited to build on the strong foundation that’s already in place. Together, we’ll continue investing in our people, strengthening customer relationships, and positioning PremierBank for continued long-term success.”
A Certified Public Accountant, Stebbins holds a Master of Professional Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. She is also an alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Actively involved in multiple community organizations, Stebbins currently serves on the United Way of Jefferson & North Walworth County Board of Directors, the Fort Atkinson Rotary Club, and the Purdy Elementary PTO.
