We’re proud to share that PremierBank has once again been named a Top Workplace in 2026 by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in the Small Business category (up to 149 employees). After earning this recognition for the first time in 2025, being recognized again means a lot to our organization.
What makes this award especially meaningful is that it’s based entirely on employee feedback. It reflects how our team actually feels about working here – their engagement, their connection to each other, and their belief in what we’re building together. That’s something we don’t take lightly.
The past year has been a big one for us. Like many organizations, we’ve navigated change, growth, and new opportunities, all while staying focused on what matters most, our people. We’ve continued to invest in development, including leadership growth and internal learning opportunities, and we’ve worked to strengthen communication and create an environment where employees feel supported, respected, and able to do their best work.
When our employees feel engaged and supported, it shows up in how they serve our customers every day in the communities we serve. That connection between our people, our customers, and our communities is at the core of who we are.
One of the things we are especially proud of is our average length of service, around nine years. That doesn’t happen by accident. It reflects the kind of place we’re trying to be: somewhere people can grow, take on new challenges, and build a real career. And in a lot of cases, they do exactly that. That came through clearly in this year’s survey results. Many of our employees shared that they feel aligned with our values and see real opportunity to grow here. That alignment matters because it’s what helps create a culture that feels consistent and real across the organization. To us, culture isn’t something separate from the work, it’s how we treat each other, how we serve our customers, and how we show up in the communities we proudly call home. It shows up in the day-to-day, in ways big and small.
At the same time, we know this recognition isn’t the finish line. It’s a reminder that culture is something you have to keep working at – through listening, learning, and being intentional about how we operate. As leaders, we take that responsibility seriously, and we’re committed to continuing to strengthen it over time.
To our employees – thank you. This recognition belongs to you. The way you support each other, serve our customers, and show up every day is what makes PremierBank a Top Workplace.
