PremierBank Celebrates Community Banking Month

Community Banking Month

Fort Atkinson, WI – April is Community Banking Month and PremierBank will be hosting several events and activities throughout the month across the communities they serve, including Jefferson, Rock, and Walworth counties.

Community Banking Month is historically a time when locally owned banks across the nation commemorate their independent spirit and unwavering commitment to helping consumers and small businesses achieve their financial goals.

Since its inception over 160 years ago, PremierBank has remained a locally owned community bank that prides itself on building strong relationships with the businesses and residents it serves and continues to give back through local sponsorships, donations, and volunteering.

“Independent community banks like ours offer safe, sound, and secure banking options for the residents and businesses we serve,” Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Kathy Rolfs said. “Funding more than 60 percent of all small businesses in the United States and more than 80 percent of agriculture loans, local banks collectively contribute tax dollars that help maintain local municipalities and keep our local neighborhoods viable and vibrant. We enjoy participating in Community Banking Month every year to raise awareness about the importance of banking locally.”

Besides funding small businesses, entrepreneurs, and local startups, community banks have over 50,000 locations across the nation employing nearly 700,000 Americans.

In recognition of 2024 Community Banking Month, PremierBank invites the public to the following:

FREE Community Shred Event - Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to Noon at PremierBank’s Fort Atkinson location, 70 North Main Street. (Three box limit.)
